Asked Questions

Lean Energy is not another diet, challenge, or short-term reset. It’s a structured, functional medicine–based program designed to address the underlying reasons many women struggle with fat loss and low energy.
Instead of focusing on calories or willpower, Lean Energy looks at blood sugar balance, hormones, stress, inflammation, and metabolic health. The goal is to help your body feel safe, supported, and responsive again. Not to push harder or restrict more.
This approach is especially helpful for women who feel like they’re doing “all the right things” and still not seeing results.
-
Lean Energy isn’t just about the scale. It’s about reducing inflammation, increasing energy, supporting hormone balance, and helping you feel better in your body.
Many women who join are looking to lose the last 5–15 pounds, reduce bloating, clear brain fog, improve sleep, or reset their metabolism after years of stress or dieting.

Enrollment for Lean Energy is open ahead of each cohort start date.
When you enroll, you’ll receive instant access to the Lean Energy Prep Kit. This is designed to help you understand how the program works, how to approach the upcoming weeks, and how to set yourself up for success before the cohort officially begins.
The next full Lean Energy cohort begins April 6. That’s when the guided weekly structure, lessons, and community experience start.
We recommend enrolling early so you have time to review the Prep Kit, understand what’s coming, and feel mentally and physically prepared to begin.
-
The Prep Kit is the preparation material you receive immediately after enrolling in Lean Energy.
It walks you through how the program is structured, what to expect week to week, and how to approach key concepts that will come up later in the course. This includes guidance on digestion support, mindset tools for staying consistent, and how to track your cycle in preparation for fasting strategies introduced during the program.
The Prep Kit also helps you get oriented and “in the zone” so that when Week 1 begins, you’re not starting cold. The Week 1 material then provides a clear, focused crash course on how to prepare food-wise and begin implementing the program.
We strongly recommend reviewing the Prep Kit in full before the cohort starts. Most early questions around expectations, pacing, and approach are answered there.

Lean Energy is built around ancestral nutrition. That means real, whole foods with a focus on protein, healthy fats, and blood sugar balance.
At the start of the program, you’ll be given a clear list of approved foods to follow. This does mean temporarily removing certain food groups so your body can reset and heal. This phase is structured and intentional, not about restriction or deprivation.
You should expect to adjust how you grocery shop and prepare meals in the week leading up to the program. Toward the end, you’ll learn how to thoughtfully reintroduce foods and identify what works best for your body long-term.
-
No. Lean Energy is not built around intense workouts or long hours in the gym.
Movement is encouraged, especially walking and light resistance, but fat loss and metabolic healing in this program come primarily from how you fuel, support, and regulate your body. Not from burning more calories or pushing harder.
-
No. Labs are not required to participate in Lean Energy.
That said, blood work can be a helpful tool for understanding what’s happening beneath the surface, especially when it comes to blood sugar, hormones, inflammation, and nutrient status.
If you do choose to run labs, you’ll learn how to interpret them through the Lean Energy framework and use that information to personalize your approach. If you don’t, the program is still fully effective and designed to work without them.
-
Absolutely. Many women in Lean Energy are working moms, traveling for work, or juggling full schedules.
The program is designed to work in real life. You’ll be given grocery lists, simple meal ideas, travel guidance, and practical strategies for busy days. That said, Lean Energy does require intention and participation. You don’t need perfection, but you do need a willingness to plan ahead and make supportive choices most of the time.
-
No worries. You’ll have access to the full course and resources even after the program ends, so there’s plenty of time to catch up or revisit anything you missed.
Lean Energy is designed to be followed in sequence, so staying relatively on track will give you the best experience. That said, life happens, and the material will still be there when you need it.
If you want continued support after the cohort ends, including a place to ask questions or retest labs, you’ll have the option to join Club Lean Energy, a low-cost way to stay connected and maintain momentum.
-
Yes. Your level of participation is completely up to you.
You’re never required to share anything you’re not comfortable with. Some women choose to listen quietly at first, while others actively participate in weekly calls and the online forum. Both approaches are welcome.
Many women find that engaging with the community and asking questions helps them get more out of the program, but participation is always your choice.
-
Yes. Lean Energy can be safely adapted for pregnancy and breastfeeding, with a different focus than weight loss.
In this stage of life, the goal is nourishment, recovery, and gentle metabolic and hormone support. You’ll follow modified steps each week, with no fasting protocols and an emphasis on fueling your body well.
Many women notice improvements in digestion, energy, and cravings. Fat loss may or may not occur, and that’s expected. The priority is resilience, not restriction.
-
Yes. Lean Energy can be effective for postmenopausal women, but the experience may look different.
Hormonal shifts, long-term stress, and years of dieting can mean your body needs more support and a slower, gentler approach. Inside the program, the focus is on nourishment, blood sugar stability, inflammation reduction, and metabolic support rather than aggressive fat loss.
Some postmenopausal women see significant fat loss, while others notice improvements in energy, digestion, sleep, and body composition first. Both are signs the system is healing.

Joining Club Lean Energy is completely optional and designed for women who want light, ongoing support as they apply Lean Energy principles in everyday life.
